Definition & Description of Mijawez مِجَوّز

Mijawez literally means “married man” in Saudi slang. The root word jawaz (جواز) means “marriage.” Among friends, it’s often used in a teasing way, especially when someone is married but still acting like they’re single, joking around, or trying to hang out with the boys too much.

It carries a playful tone, not meant to be harsh. Younger Saudis might throw it around to poke fun at a friend who got married and is now “off the market.”
